Speaker pair map

Each line joins two speakers that can hold a phantom image between them. Switch layouts to watch the count climb, then drag the 3D view to see how the up/down pairs cross between layers. The LFE is left out because it never forms a stereo pair.

Plan viewFrom above, front at the top. Height speakers sit on the inner dashed ring because a 45° elevation pulls them toward the listener in this view.
Side elevationSeen from the listener's right, front at the right. Left and right speakers land on top of each other here, so each L–R pair collapses to a point and the layer separation is what you see.
Ortho viewDrag to rotate. Dashed stems drop each height speaker to the ear-height plane.
Pair matrixOne cell per pair. Colors match the lines, so the up/down block is the rectangle where the two layers meet.
